Who was Augustus?
Most notably, Augustus was the first and most powerful emperor in the history of the Roman Empire. His phenomenal leadership earned him the famous reputation of being strong, honest, dependable and relentless in providing wise rule for his great empire.
Born as Octavian Caesar, great nephew of Julius Caesar, he was later given the name of Augustus (“the revered one”) by the Senate in honour of his many achievements. Augustus was a true leader in the Roman Empire.
